Connecting Instagram to Vardast

Step 1: Log in to Instagram

• Go to instagram.com using a web browser and log in to your account.
• Note: If you are using a mobile device, make sure to use the browser and do not open the Instagram app.

SStep 2: Connect your account

1. Go to the Vardast dashboard and navigate to the Channels section.
2. Click "New Channel" and select Instagram.
3. On the Instagram page, you will be asked to grant Vardast access to your Direct Messages and Comments. Click "Allow" to continue.

Step 3: Choose the Vardast channel/account for replying

• After returning to Vardast, you will see the connected account.
• Add an existing Vardast to answer your DMs.

Step 4: Manage your channel and replies

Once your account is connected, you can control how Vardast handles messages directly from the dashboard:

• Enable / Stop Channel: This controls the overall activity of the account.
• Enabled: The account actively replies to messages, both via automation and AI.
• Stop Channel: Completely disables message handling for this account.
• AI Answering Enable / Disable: This controls AI-generated replies specifically.
• Enabled: The account will reply to messages using both your AI answering guide and automation triggers.
• Disabled: The account will only reply based on the automation triggers you’ve set.

To resume replies, click Activate or Enable, depending on the label shown.

This allows you to pause automatic responses without disconnecting your Instagram account.

Notes:

• If you get a 400 Invalid Session error, try connecting again using another device after 24 hours.
